Half-day Team Assessment Workshop
In this highly informative and revealing morning session, your group will choose from four testing tools to look at:
- Behavioral Style
- Communication Style
- Team Effectiveness
The Enneagram is a remarkable learning instrument that is transforming the way we look at ourselves and others.
Each of the Enneagram types has a unique gift that they
contribute to the full spectrum of human potential. We cannot understand ourselves
or others by a simple enumeration of observable traits. Our internal terrain and dialogue give us our first
glimpse of the real power of the Enneagram - to see the world
through new eyes. Enneagram expert Ian Blei uses this philosophy and approach to
improve the effectiveness of communication, and the quality
of relationships. When we can truly see how each of us views
the world, and how that impacts our communication, we can
begin communicating "with" one another, rather than speaking "at"
one another.
What's My Style? is a fast, fun, and memorable learning instrument to identify behavioral style. Through a simple inventory of paired adjectives, participants will learn their preference for one of four basic behavioral styles: spirited, direct, considerate, or systematic. Easy-to-read charts allow respondents to quickly scan the strengths and trouble spots that characterize their particular styles. They also learn the impact of each style in the workplace.
What's My Communication Style? is based on the assumption that people have personality styles and that those styles drive behavior and communication. This assessment tool defines personality style as the way a person acts when he/she is able to do things his/her own way. Does this mean that people act the same way all the time? Certainly not. Even the most boisterous individual would not be loud and jovial at a funeral. But most people do have enough consistency in their behavior to allow themselves and others to predict their behavior. "What's My Communication Style?" focuses specifically on communication. It is a fun, non-threatening tool that highlights the strengths and weaknesses of different communication styles. Participants discover their communication style by choosing the communication behaviors that best describe them.
The Team Effectiveness Profile (TEP) is a popular diagnostic instrument designed to assist groups in improving their output and work satisfaction. Under normal circumstances, issues that block a group's effectiveness may not be brought up for discussion and resolution. These issues could remain undisclosed for years, draining a group's energy and undermining its productive efforts. The TEP was developed to help groups systematically identify these issues, classify them under broad problem headings, and begin to reduce or eliminate them. The TEP yields an overall Team Effectiveness Score as well as separate scores for each of the five areas indicating the general health of the group and blockages that hinder team effectiveness.
