"Get a Clue" -- Team Performance and Social Network Analysis
In this engaging, high-energy, 1/2-day workshop, we take a look a closer look at a key area of team development: how groups build TRUST in the workplace. To do this, we've partnered with industry leader FAS Research* to introduce the cutting-edge field of Social Network Analysis (or SNA). Of late, we've heard a lot about SNA in the media, mostly in regard to such web services as LinkedIn, Friendster, MySpace, etc. Well, there’s so much more to it than online networking! SNA is the scientific study of how people build & maintain human networks and connections. Based on developments in organizational studies, sociology, anthropology, physics, geography, psychology, linguistics, and information science, SNA has emerged as a key technique for understanding the role social networks play in organizational and group dynamics as well as problem solving and knowledge management.
During this energizing workshop, we bring alive SNA and its teachings about TRUST NETWORKS through a series of fun games, puzzles, ciphers and codes.
After this program, participants will be able to:
- - Choose the best network structures for accomplishing specific tasks
- - Develop stronger bonds, both internally in their teams as well as externally with other groups.
- - Understand their own network of links and ties, leaving with a specific action plan for appropriately strengthening their personal and work networks
And of course, they'll have a ton of fun in the process.
