Maui--Upcountry

With its rolling hills and misty mountains, Upcountry is one of the most beautiful and "authentic" areas on the island of Maui. Perched on the slopes Haleakala volcano, the Upcountry area is dotted with active ranches, quaint towns and expansive farmlands. From Keokea and its strong Chinese heritage to the paniolo (cowboy) town of Makawao-now home to art galleries, boutiques and eateries-Upcountry Maui is a taste of the old Maui, and the perfect place for a treasure hunt! During your day of adventure in the Upcountry, expect to explore art studios and rodeos, hidden statues, exotic gardens and little-known authentic cafes. These hills are filled with mystery-and surprises around every turn! Note: This is a driving treasure hunt. One vehicle is required for every team of 4-5 participants.
