"Get a Clue" -- Team Creativity

The focus of the day is team creativity. We begin with a short treasure hunt, held right there in your meeting space, that highlights the different genres of puzzles and clues. Participants learn the three different types of clues and what characterizes each genre. Then comes the challenging part, as participants put on their creative hats and actually WRITE CLUES, as a team, for the other groups to solve. This program can stand alone, or be paired up with one of the following assessment tools to make a highly interactive and stimulating half-day of fun and learning.

Tools to Choose from:

What's My Style?

What's My Style? is a fast, fun, and memorable learning instrument to identify behavioral style. Through a simple inventory of paired adjectives, participants will learn their preference for one of four basic behavioral styles: spirited, direct, considerate, or systematic. Easy-to-read charts allow respondents to quickly scan the strengths and trouble spots that characterize their particular styles. They also learn the impact of each style in the workplace.

What's My Communication Style? What's My Communication Style? is based on the assumption that people have personality styles and that those styles drive behavior and communication. This assessment tool defines personality style as the way a person acts when he/she is able to do things his/her own way. Does this mean that people act the same way all the time? Certainly not. Even the most boisterous individual would not be loud and jovial at a funeral. But most people do have enough consistency in their behavior to allow themselves and others to predict their behavior. "What's My Communication Style?" focuses specifically on communication. It is a fun, non-threatening tool that highlights the strengths and weaknesses of different communication styles. Participants discover their communication style by choosing the communication behaviors that best describe them.

The Team Effectiveness Profile (TEP) The Team Effectiveness Profile (TEP) is a popular diagnostic instrument designed to assist groups in improving their output and work satisfaction. Under normal circumstances, issues that block a group's effectiveness may not be brought up for discussion and resolution. These issues could remain undisclosed for years, draining a group's energy and undermining its productive efforts. The TEP was developed to help groups systematically identify these issues, classify them under broad problem headings, and begin to reduce or eliminate them. The TEP yields an overall Team Effectiveness Score as well as separate scores for each of the five areas indicating the general health of the group and blockages that hinder team effectiveness.

Trust: The Ultimate Test Trust: The Ultimate Test is a powerful tool for helping facilitators explore this sensitive issue - without arousing defensiveness. Through Trust's 24-item assessment and its insight on the dimensions of trust-related behaviors, participants find a deeper understanding of trust, which they can apply to their individual, team, and organizational relationships. Participants learn to identify one's individual tendency to trust, including the factors that affect the decision to trust and the 4 groups of behavior that indicate trust.

What’s My Time Style:

What's My Time Style: Research shows that the time management approach best suited to increasing a person's productivity largely depends on that individual's behavioral style. What's My Time Style?, a simple 21-item assessment, helps participants to identify individual time management styles and make their styles work for them rather than against them. Participants will learn how to identify preference for one of four time management styles, to capitalize on strengths and overcome the trouble spots of their styles, and to interact effectively with other styles.

What’s My Leadership Style:
What's My Leadership Style: By definition, effective leaders are able influence others to work towards achieving goals. But the way they choose to do so varies from leader to leader. While one leader may rally troops around a cause, another might typically bolster their team's self-confidence. So is one style better than another? Not necessarily. Current theory suggests that different situations require different leadership styles. In fact, the most successful leaders are those who are able to adapt their style to the unique demands of the situation. What's My Leadership Style? is a thought-provoking instrument that provides individuals with insight into their preferred style of leading others.
